lol...I lease my truck and she has already said no to trading it in early, but might rethink it, if I did a ram 2500 would that make all this doable, also would you guys go with Shadow Cruiser or Dutchman as far as a brand?
Regarding "brand" there is likely some truth in the idea of "find the floorplan that works for you", then deal with whatever issues you get in the trailer you buy.
Some will say they are all "Indiana farm boy assembled junk"....others will say their trailer has been perfect. It seems to run the gamut.
What I always say is: "some assembly required". Go into with that attitude, and it will likely be a lot less stressful, a whole lot more fun. Plan on getting some tools out and spending some quality time fixing things, and scratching your head wondering why they did certain things the way they did.
For what little it's worth ( not much ) I have a Funfinder, which is from the the cruiser RV family, same as Shadow Cruiser. I like my trailer a lot. It's coming up on five years old, I've towed it close to 30K miles and have enjoyed every minute of this trailer.....including the time spent doing the "some assembly required".
Best of luck to you....have fun with it. Like I said....the kids will love it. That's what it's all about....right Dad ??? !!
