Don't trust payload capacity on the door sticker, for me it wasn't actual capacity. My sticker said 1796 payload but when I weighed it me, full gas and camper shell it weighed 6200. Subtract that from my GVWR of 7650 that left me with 1450 payload. I am a couple hundred pounds from max on my tongue weight, hitch weight capacity and closer than that on payload but not over. Only thing that goes in the truck is my wife and a small dog. We weighed every thing we put in the trailer and it was under 1000 lbs. On long trips the shell comes off so I have some safety room, and I don't drive over 60mph. My truck is a '11 f150 ecoboost w/max tow and our TT is a 2016 Outdoors Wind River 270cisw. Looking to upgrade to a 1-ton down the road., since I want over 3000 lb. payload and maybe a 5th-wheel someday!
