It is tough decision. But with a 2500's capability you shouldn't have to worry about towing with a full fresh water tank (if in front of the tt axles), taking a load of firewood with (when able to), possibly buying a topper (~200-250lbs) for the dogs to eliminate the second vehicle, etc...
One suggestion, get the 2.5" shank for the wdh. It eliminates the need for the adapter, which can easily be lost if your not careful. Using the adapter there generally is a little more play when adjusting the wdh as well.
