Assuming your slide is hydraulic:
First thing to check is the reservoir to ensure it's full.
If it is, then the next step is the solenoid itself. May need to replace it.
Finally, it comes down to the motor assembly.
Start with the easy stuff and move to the more expensive....Dennis
