- 996PilotExplorerCoopers all the way. High mileage, great ride and descent price.
- Ron3rdExplorer IIIThanks for all the good info folks. My highway needs are pretty simple, just looking for a high-mileage tire.
I'm shocked these Firestones are gonna be shot at about 28,000 miles.
Wife's Bridgestone Duelers on her Chevy Traverse went almost 70,000 miles.
I know it's apples and oranges comparing the wife's SUV to my Ram but I still think a truck tire should go 40-50K. - larry_barnhartExplorer

Michelin Defenders LTX M&S replaced my Transforce AT's at 29K. Quiet and smooth. Would use them again next time. I have around 14-15K on them with 1 1/2 round trips to Arizona. NO overt signs of wear.

Defenders for the duramax dually. good snow traction and good wear but I never wear a tire to the end so miles don't mean much for us. We did 2 December trips for Christmas and was very happy with the grip.
chevman - +1 for top line Goodyear All-Terrain with Kevlar. Smooth quiet ride.
- Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain Adventures with my first set lasting 56k miles still running smooth a quiet with even tread wear. Just purchased another new set 2 weeks ago. They're a 60k mile rated tire.
My previous Michelins and BF Goodrich tires got ~45k miles. - jmtandemExplorer IIToyo's work well on Rams.
- 73gunaExplorerI ran Nitto Dura Grapplers highway tires for probably 30k and loved them.
I got great mpg's to boot.
Switched wheels and then went with Nitto Terra Grapplers a/t tires.
Ive always liked Nitto's.
When the time comes for new tires Ill' opt for either Nitto Dura's or Michelin highway tires. - Charlie_D_Explorer

Michelin, Coopers-----
I have Cooper Discovery HT3 245/75R17 LT. Replaced my OEM Firestone Transforce HT at 21,870. I now have 48,003 miles and they are at the wear bars. About 12,000 miles towing. Free rotation at 5,000 miles. Aired to Chevrolet recommendations. Even wear across the treads. Will not get Michelins but will replace soon. Unsure of what I will get. These Coopers are warranted for 50,000 miles. Some LT tires do not have warranty miles. I do not drive off road. - IdaDExplorerCooper and Toyo (incl Nitto) are my top choices. I don’t run highway tires on trucks or SUVs so I can’t be more specific than that.
- jim1632ExplorerI just bought Goodyear Wrangler HT. This is load range E with 89 tire pressure max.
Cost is about 2/3 that of Michilen. Concerned most about load capacity as I have a small camper on a Dodge Dakota.
Go to Goodyear main page as they have specs for all their tires.
Bought in FL from the east coast BIG O sub so you should be able to fine in CA.
