Edit, you're talkin More than a few trips a year, but all local. Power isn't an issue if you stay in Texas or nearby which you're doing. Unless you live in Amarillo and camp in AngelFire or Red river or something.
Low altitude flatlands rig, the towing part is easy.
How much work do you like doing to vehicles though? Any sub $10k rig is going to need some love and it's not terribly expensive if you do it yourself. But if you are a take it to the mechanic guy, you'll spend waaay more keeping it up.
