New 1500 vs 2500 hauling TC

I have my lance 815 on its 3rd 1/2 ton chevy. Started with on 01, 08, now 11. I plan on getting a 14. I cannot imagine why anyone would need more power than what the new 5.3 puts out 355hp. Mine is 325 and with the new 6 speed trans I am never wanting for more. I also pull a 14 lund no brakes, or a 5x8 enclosed full dressed harley with brakes. Each year the brakes have improved. For years I drove a 3/4 for work took it home every day. I'd say the brakes on my 11 are better than the brakes on my 01 3/4 were. My camper scales about 1800 mt. The heaviest I've ever scaled was 2200 packed out for a 6 week trip. The gravel pit down the street lets me scale free anytime. I know I travel very light compared to most. If I need extra stuff I can fill that 5x8 trailer. This works well for me. I don't do a lot of mnt driving but last sept I went to the smokies with camper and the bike. I had no problem passing trucks or cars on those roads and no problem stopping. Now I know how to drive. Had a cdl for 37 years no ticket or accidents. Pick up the brochure from the stealer the specs are in the back. Ask the service guys, I told mine what I planned to do. It may not work for everyone and I respect that, it does work for me.
