I'm amused to see so many people buying 1/2 ton trucks, think that they can do much work with them. Most 1/2 ton trucks are sprung like an old Crown Victoria.
Very few trucks on dealer lots have the maximum tow package which costs approximately $1,795 on a Ford. They're usually special ordered.
I have a 3/4 ton diesel, and wouldn't take anything for it. But I know my Pin weight is limited for a fifth wheel. I had to buy a fifth wheel to fit my truck--as my truck is too good to trade--and it's paid for.
