I think that's great. It's a perfect combination for the F150's greatest demographic, the grocery-getter. No joke. I think it's silly that trucks continuously market for the 10% of actual truck users at the expense of highest volume users.
By having a very fuel-effecient offering for the non-towing crowd, it means Ford can continue to offer the high-power configurations for those who need it.
I am not surprised by the demise of the 6.2L. Take rate was really low, much lowering than expected, having been cannibalized by EcoBoost sales.
Hennessy offers an EcoBoost-Raptor package, and the reviews were very positive compared to the standard 6.2L Raptor.
