Considering the demographics of the average F150 buyer, this is probably spot on.
Most F150s are not sold to people that tow, or haul large/heavy cargo. They buy the bigger trucks.
The average F150 is sold to Joe Six-Pack (as in beer) that he uses as a daily commute vehicle. Most of the rest are sold to hobby farm types that need to haul a dozen bails of hay for their critters.
Very few are sold as working vehicles.
