Kudos to Ford for following the standards and taking a proactive approach to the looming CAFE standards. I'm thinking that the smaller Ecoboost and the 3.5 V6 are probably geared towards people that don't really intend to tow or haul much, but use it more as a commuter car and occasionally haul stuff from Home Depot. I bet at least 75% of half ton truck buyers fit into that demographic.
I see they are dumping the 6.2 V8 in the F150, but I hope they keep it in the Superduty series.
Lots of new "doo dads" available. 360 degree camera? Seems over the top. LED headlights seem cool, as do the moveable LED spotlights in the mirrors. Stowable ramps... sounds interesting. I do notice that their advertising literature shows the tailgate down and the ramps leaning against the tailgate... I wonder if they plan to cover the dented tailgates when people drive heavy 4 wheelers over them. I wonder how much all those things will add to the bottom line cost though...
