Well after further inspection and forgetting about drilling holes in battery box, i've got this going on.
-breakaway cable was busted. Didn't have a cable coming out of it to even hook up to truck.
-12v wiire one 7way was nearly cut into at the splice.
-water in bat box. I suppose water could have splash up on topside of battery over a 3.5 hour road trip to cause melting but I'd b surprised. I hope u all can prove me wrong on this one! Maybe a combo of all three??? I'm at a loss. I will need help on what to check before I do hook back up. Don't want to toast another one!
