broken wire in 7way plug wire

melted/frayed - wire to ground.

melted stud locations

I plan on replacing the - wire to ground and the + red wire that goes into camper that is routed to a terminal block under the access panel in camper floor, and disconnecting the white wire that is coupled with the + "red wire" that was put in place by PO and resplicing the entire 7way wire and taping off each splice instead of a taped over bundle by the PO.
I'll then do the 30amp fuse mod to save some additional damage in case something else is going on after all those things are fixed. Hoping that fixes this extremely dangerous problem that I have experienced. I should have done all this checking after I bought the camper and could have avoided frying cables but the cables as you can see are very corroded so they probably needed replacing anyhow. Thanks everybody. RV.net is the best bunch of folks I've ever known on forums. You guys are very patient and understanding and most importantly, helpful!
