Agreed, no need for a true deep cycle battery setup. A "marine/RV" battery will be more than adequate, and cover you for the rare occasion when you need the battery, like when shore power goes out... A marine/rv battery will be about the same cost as a straight starting battery, but will do last longer if you have occasions where you do use the battery long enough to discharge it more than about 20%.
RV/marine batteries are a compromise between a starting and deep cycle battery. Lower CCA than a starting battery, Longer cycle life than a starting battery but lower cycle life than a true deep cycle battery.
