New Bosch diesel technology provides solution to NOx problem

I understand that it is basically tuning that is proposed. It should be explained how all that extra heat is developed not by burning more fuel. Maybe it is simply cutting down the air flow thru the engine and exhaust to reduce the cooling that way, again just basically tuning.
