We were in the same situation when we were looking for a replacement. I have a nice ARE cap on the back, with a bed rug and memory foam bed. Did not want to give it up. The Outback floor plan we purchased has a 5th wheel feel in a TT. From actual doors in the master bedroom and bathroom, to a 50 amp hook-up with a pre-wired/framed spot for a 2nd AC, and some big slides, it fit the bill perfectly. With an enormous amount of storage, the only downfall is the 1000lb CCC. We love it.
On a side note, I wouldn't travel with the pets in the back...mainly due to climate control. The only time we did it was while traveling through the painted desert...we started up the generator and ran the AC in the trailer. Stayed comfortable and the trailer was cooled when we stopped....
