  • Oh be still my heart!! Reminds my of Burt, my 77F250 Ranger, and Bessie, my 74F350 Subercab! LOVED them. I hauled a 4,000lb camper on Burt after some suspension mods. They are beasts!!! LOVED them and miss everything about them except finding parts! Best of luck with your project. I took years to finally finish Burt's restoration and then sold it to a guy in New Zealand!

Also, just as an FYI from an old Ford truck nut, in 1978 for half the year they still used the round headlights and then changed them to the rectangular ... but they are both still 1978 trucks. Go to Fordtruckfanatics.com It's a website with a great bunch of guys who all LOVE these old trucks, are very knowledgeable about them and happy to offer advice, help and information. Tell them dakonthemountain said hi!

  • Awesome :-) I love those old Super Camper Special trucks! That one looks like a '79 (square headlights) very nice condition. Looks like its missing the deep dish extra wide rear wheels and big 'super single' rear tires. Those might be tough to find these days!
  • I hope it's for a smaller and light camper. Nice truck!
