I am glad that you currently feel satisfied with service and truck.
As somebody thought that the GM fans would have been all over this if Ford, I can say that I refrain comment on others until the process to satisfy a customer does not work.
To answer those who wondered where the GM fans were, I was actively watching/listening. This problem is something that I never experienced, or others I know. If Monkey44 would have been less satisfied, I would have worked directly with him.
So, after this many miles, what is your feedback on the interior, noise, and comfort?
Interior, comfortable - it has power seat and leather ... smooth on the road, especially for a 2500HD - a little vibration now and then, but at this point, I believe it's the road or the tires. Don't like the tires at all - but am a diehard and lifelong BFG fan anyway.
The tires seem rough, and responds with road vibration often ... but run smooth on a smooth highway, if that makes sense.
We can't use the radio / electronic system much as we haul a Lance TC and the overhang blocks the antenna. So, not sure if we'll install a new one, or ignore the electronics when traveling. We listen to our own music anyway (mp3) and not the stations, so not a major thing for us. And, we've never used Onstar or any other pay-as-you-go vendor ... including satellite.
ONE MAJOR HASSLE: We remove the tailgate for loading the TC, so we lose the back-up camera. Removing the tailgate is easy, disconnecting the camera connector is one major headache - first, we couldn't even find it, then it's tucked into a odd area with others, and you can't tell which plug it is, and then, it's sitting there bare to the weather after you unplug it. It's very, very difficult to get to it, and believe it's a pretty dumb engineering fault to put it there if you need to get to it. Major hassle -- major hassle, I'll say it twice so you get it ...
Generally, we love the truck and its performance ...
