OP: Have your fuel filters (2 of them on a Ford 6.7) changed every 20k miles, buy fuel from high volume locations like truck stops, and use Ford Motorcraft additive (DieselFiltersOnLine.com); you won't need any spares. Have your belt and all the other 100k maintenance done at 100k miles. DEF is sold at every Walmart, auto parts store, and truck stop. Really no need to haul a bunch around. It spoils in heat. Wait until you get the half tank warning or check the information screen, go 2 more fill ups, and then add a jug. It will use a jug around 4k mi. not towing and 2k towing up to maybe 1.5k towing in hot weather. Search dieselstop.Com for old posts--this engine has been out for 5 years. 55k mi. with no problems following this advice.
