I'm guessing another difference may be the trim level? Mine is a long horn and you can adjust the seats in a multitude of way's, even lumbar area, thus, that may be the difference in how these seats support one's body while driving....just wondering if that might be true, but I'm not sure how an SLT is trimmed out....I know with the lumbar feature in my seat, it does make one's back feel better, but I still don't feel that rough of a ride unless stated by others, you're on a rough road...When on newly paved road, the ride is REALLY good....
