I see where you're coming from; as someone who once worked in auto sales (a dark time for me, LOL) it is all too easy for me to picture some big-bellied sales manager in very expensive shoes bellowing to his staff "we'll inflate the tires to 32psi for test drives so everything rides like a limo, just be sure to have the shop re-inflate before delivery so we don't have any liability concerns."
There are some real "pieces of work" in auto sales; take it from someone who was once on the inside.
You are SO right.
And yet...we should have figured this out. This happened at not one but TWO dealerships. They know a "green, wet behind the ears" truck newbie.
The clue is we go for the "shiny, pretty one" and the fact we didn't ask many towing/truck technical questions probably was a HUGE clue. Might as well worn a sign saying "SUCKER"......
