80 psi in the rear tires of an empty truck?
Not for me.
In the case of my truck, there's only 2.700 lbs on the rear axle when empty, and I like my tires to wear evenly.
Just my opinion.
How about when towing a trailer?
How about lowering the tire pressure until you get a trailer that requires 80 PSI.
That tire pressure is for MAX towing/hauling and your RV is no where near that! My bet is your husbands Corvette could tow it. Please I'm not tiring to sound stand offish but that truck is made for serious towing, not towing a 5000# (maybe) RV.
Drop the tires to 60 PSI and then see what you think! Again the 80 PSI rating is for MAX not light loads or empty driving.
