Well I haven't read all 12 pages but I have owned 4 Dodges.
One thing I have noticed about Dodge vs Ford or Chevy is that for whatever reason, their HD trucks are sprung tight.
I also have a bad back and the ride isn't what gets me, it is the seating position and lumbar set up.
I have to buy top of the line trims in order to get the most power adjustments for the seat. Currently driving Chevy 2500 4X4. Had to go with LTZ trim in order to get a 10 way power seat. I can adjust that seat to my exact likeing. A generic base line seat would kill me on a trip. A "regular" power seat would also hurt on long trips.
If it hasn't been suggested already. I would go back and test drive a Laramie with the 10 way bucket seat and dually instead of single wheel.
