Okay....so my hubby came home for lunch and confirmed that ALL four tires were 70psi.
Here's the deal or deception......AND it's NOT based on buyer's remorse....
I mentioned earlier that the dealer had deflated the tires so much so that the low tire indicator lit up on the dashboard.
My husband....being the engineer...(okay he's not a nerd)...said let's see HOW LOW you do need to deflate the tires before the indicator lights go on? Good question...right? Reverse engineering...
He deflated the tires in a step down procedure...60psi, 55psi, 50psi, 45psi
He deflated all tires to 45psi...and the "low tire" indicator did not go on.
WOW!... at what rating does the indicator light go on?
BIGGER QUESTION....How low did/does the dealer deflate the tires to deceive the customer??
AGAIN...we do not have buyer's remorse for what we thought we had bought....we have remorse that the dealer ran a ploy on us!!
Heck...we might have upgraded to another truck if they allowed the truck we bought to show it's true color. AND they could have clarified the necessity of the ride for towing big rigs.
Anyway......we are not "sore loosers" and really don't want to sue anyone. Who has the time?
I just want people to be upfront and honest and desperate sellers make for bad press at the very least. We seem to expect people to be honest and get duped by contractors, politicians, realtors...the list goes on.
So now we stretched ourselves to buy this vehicle and now we have to figure out to spend more to fix the springs, shocks or get an air ride seat?
Care to show me were it says you drove it in between you hubby making the changes. BTW no I don't live in Sunny California, we left the home of the fruits and nuts in 1968.
BTW how do you know the dealer deflated the tires? Did they tell you that? Maybe Jose didn't fill them correctly.
