I'm still waiting to hear why you didn't mention that you had the same issue on TWO trucks at different dealers. Care to respond?
Don
At first I wasn't sure if that had really happened, so I asked my husband last night. He said yes.
When we test drove the first truck I thought it was a low fuel indicator as the dealers purposely keep the fuel low and I'm guessing so if anyone wants to carjack a vehicle they would soon run out of fuel.
But when on the 2nd test ride this came up I decided to ask the "what is the light on the dash?"... just in case it was not a fuel indicator and the salesman said it was low tire pressure.
That's another issue, when we test drove one truck we thought we'd run out of fuel getting back it was so low. So someone berated me for buying a truck on such a short test drive.
The dealer said they want to keep the mileage low on their new trucks and discourage long test drives. So they have all the cards and call the shots on the test drives.
Anyway...this is all a mute point at this point.
We are going to invest in Kelderman shocks.
I just hope others read this and will demand to check air tire pressures on their test drive. Demand longer test drives. And pay attention to everything on the dashboard, readouts and instruments.
with the double din readouts and instruments there are so many things going on while driving and to access many read outs you have to "page through" the digital readouts. It's techie and cool...but something hard to fully grasp on a test drive.
