My cab chassis has been smooth for the first year of ownership. I am rarely driving over 65 mph, but my drive train is spinning faster than most of you at the same speed due to the 4.44 ratio gearing.
On my way home from picking up the truck last year, I was passed by previous generation Dodge. Just as it passed me, it got that death wobble that everyone likes to point out on these trucks. It was bad enough that items went flying out of the bed on to the highway and he pulled over. I avoided the debris and thought to myself that I would never see this guy again, but about five minutes later he passed me again (this time no wobble). The front end issues were a concern for me when buying the Ram, but my cab chassis has a heavier 5-link design that has not seen the same troubles. This is the first I have heard about drive train inbalance although I have experienced it in a 4wd after clumps of mud dried on the drive shaft.
