The trend has been for trucks to get higher and more "jacked-up" looking as time goes on.
For the poser crowd it's perfectly fine, but for the guys that actually work the trucks it's getting difficult because 5th wheels and goosenecks no longer clear the bed rails or run uphill so bad you have to put a 4" lift kit on the trailer.
Jacking them up does nothing for ground clearance. The pumpkin is still going to be dragging first.
