+1 to just fix the speedo and ABS issues.
Forget the performance tune because it will make no real effect on driving or towing.
JMHO
yup.. So a few people agree. I posted that several posts ago. 4 10's and thats the performance boost right there.
You should forget the tune but its your truck. After you spend the money let us know the outcome.
Often people tout how great they are but IMO the are just justifying the wasted money they spent on it.
And again like I asked before your tune is the tow haul mode. Im sure you have it and know what it does.
Increases line pressure/shifts harder
Changes shift points just like a tuner/ Towing it winds the engine up good up to the 4000 mark at torque band.
Locks torque converter when it can
Holds off overdrive till 60-65 mph.
Fix the codes and then ride around with tow haul mode on. and throw 93 octane in the tank. Youll see..
AFAIK also tow ratings on trucks are published using 93 octane fuel.
But its your truck
If I was ever to get a tune it would be a fuel saver tuner. And tow haul mode for when towing and tuner taken off fuel saver. Run 93 octane when towing.
But im cheap. I run regular gas towing unless I know im going to hit mountain/hilly terrain..The super goes in.
