New Gears.... now what???
I posted another thread on swapping my 3.23 gears for 4.10 on my RWD 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.3L and 4 speed auto (4L60e). I took the truck in this morning and picked it up about 2 hours ago...

There are a lot of reasons for him to be unhappy. Maybe he chose a bad tune. There's a chain in KC called Chux Trux and they're the authority in KC on everything truck related. I called them and they recommended the Superchips tune. It was a handheld tuner for only $350 so I got online and read the reviews on it. Over 50% of the reviews were negative and most of them only 1 star for a possible 5 star rating. That's one that I won't be installing.
The tune could have been applied to a tired, worn out motor or one not breathing well with it's power robbing intake and exhaust. It could have been the person that installed it. Maybe expectations exceeded reality.
Two different people, 2 different vehicles and tow different tunes will more than likely render 2 different results. New gears, ABS error gone, better shifting, better throttle response, torque management gone and AFM turned off and I will literally be a happy camper.
