- wrenchbenderExplorerI have a Gel Coat TT.Maintaining it is the same as a fiberglass boat. After about 3 yrs it will begin to chalk.I then use a mild restorer and a good coat of wax, and its good for 3 more yrs. When you wax it do not use a carnuba based product, since most of them will yellow with age.I love my fiberglass TT because of the construction method, no roof leaks. no grey streaks. Many folks do not wax their FG TT because they like the "Patina" look. For me its easier to keep clean when waxed.
- Passin_ThruExplorerGo to a Marine Gelcoat dealer and it will last then you won't worry.
- BarneySExplorer IIIDon't know about the "new" part as ours has been around for about 10 years and still looks shiny. It will dull if left in sun exposure for a long time but can be polished or buffed out to it's original shine, with some work, in most cases.
Just about all manufacturers make trailers with a gell coat finish. Look for very smooth surface to tell.
Barney - RinconVTRExplorerWhat exactly is the question here?
- westendExplorerIt's easy to clean.
- robsouthExplorer IIDon't know. Don't know. Only if properly maintained, like all the others.
