new GMC 1500 2x4. No one needs 4x4 anyway
Got wife 2018 GMC 1500. No one but famers,ranchers, ult. company, cops, logers, and people up in Canada need 4x4, just something saleman sell people who have good credit anyway. Waist of money.

I recall a similar thread a few years ago, possibly by Supercharger ,where a lot of members waded in. I replied that when you have a 1300', 16% driveway, even in the summer, to keep the washboard to a minimum, 4x4 was required.
Winter is another story with an empty 1 ton, even with constant snowplowing.
Supercharger, has had some heart issues in the past so indulge him. Give him some good/funny replies to make his day.
