Hey all. I have a 6x2 one ton 4 door dually with posi diff. Does this count as a 4 wheel drive? Ha Ha. All 4 tires on the same axle. Pour man's 4 wheel drive.
Dual wheels are usually counted as singles for the purposes of determining whether a vehicle is a 4X2, 4X4, or 6X6.
A military truck with 3 driving axles, and dual tires on the rear two axles is a 6X6, not a 10X10.
so, my old 1994 Dodge Ram CTD one ton dually was a 4X2; 4 wheels on the ground, but only 2 of them capable of being powered.
