- d3500ramExplorer IIIIt would perhaps be nice to someday live in a climate region where 4WD would be a rarely used option on a vehicle...{sigh}....
In the winter for me, I use 4WD every day to get out of my driveway and depending on the amount of snowfall it can be used the whole day to and from work. - mich800Explorer

Maybe. But he is correct. Too wheel drive is all anyone really needs. It's not how fast you can go but how good the breaks are.
The what?! :@ Clearly neither you nor Supercharged bothered to pay attention in English grammar class. :S This may come as a big surprise but accuracy in communicating is always more effective when trying to make a point others will agree with. :W
I agree. Unless you go off rode a lot no need for 4x4. But if I am in the back country I prefer my petal bike. - fj12ryderExplorer III

"waist of money" must mean he's talking about his money belt. That goes around your waist. I've never owned a truck without 4WD. That would be a total waste where I live. - mich800Explorer

If you have excess money, it may go to your waist. While others hide their money under their shirts around their waist. No confusion here:
The way I read it is that you come out ahead with more money by buying a 4wd which you can then hide around your waist. I too would like a waist of money, so I drive a 4wd...
Maybe I'm the one that's confused? (Again) :B - DuctapeExplorerI might want a new 4x4, and if I do, I'll get one.
I don't need a wife. :b - mowermechExplorerNEED?? What does that have to do with anything?
I do not NEED almost 2 acres, but I sure enjoy having it.
I do not NEED a 3 bedroom 2 bath home, but it sure is nice.
I do not really NEED the motorhome, but I enjoy having it.
I do not NEED a 4X4 truck, nor do I really NEED a turbodiesel, but I sure enjoy it.
I do not NEED an expensive fly rod, but perhaps next year I will go fishing again.
I do not NEED a .30-06, but maybe next year I will go hunting again.
I do not NEED a PT Cruiser turbo convertible, but the thing sure is fun to drive.
I do not NEED the ATVs, but the one with the plow is great this time of year, and they are fun in the summertime.
I do not NEED all those hand tools that I made a living with, but it sure is painful to part with them!
Yes, NEED is often irrelevant!
By the way, 2X4 is the nominal dimension of a piece of lumber. A two wheel drive vehicle is a 4X2 (4 wheels, two of them powered). - Dave_H_MExplorer IIPass the pop corn. Here goes the wet grass, and on and on. :B
What I really need is the 4X4 decal for my truck.
