New Guy

Hi Truck Campers. I'm new to this forum. I had a truck camper 25 yrs ago but the family outgrew that. Now that we are retired and the kids are grown I've returned to my favorite RV. We live in Alta WY now and it's a great place from which to explore. I've got some upgrades to do on the 2010 Northern-Lite and I have found this forum to be very helpful. Happy to be onboard.

    Welcome Dr Gas. Wow this thread is talking my language with fly fishing and all. Getting me pumped up for the season.

    Thanks, I didn't know there had been a slide and the road is closed. No, I don't tow a drift boat but have lots of friends who do. Prefer to wade. Have tied probably a thousand flies this winter. Hope to get out with the camper within the next couple of weeks. Like the Fire Hole because it's not really affected by run-off but it is challenging.

    I'm sure you know that the Grey's River road is closed due to a big slide. Concern is that the slide may block the river as well. Good luck on the Firehole. Do you pull a drift boat too?

    Enjoy! Perhaps we'll run into you one day - planning to fly fish the Greys River in August. Love the area - used to rent a place at the Box Y. Will be on the Fire Hole for the early part of the season.

    You've done your homework and have a terrific rig for northern climes: enough truck and not enough camper.
