Seems to me the detractors on this thread are detractors of this particular pie-in-the-sky vehicle, not necessarily electric vehicles per se.

And just curious as to why people that disagree with your viewpoint are considered to be "ill-informed electric vehicle detractors"? There are differing viewpoints held by very well informed individuals, and some of those well informed individuals disagree with you.
