Your simple green washed the wax off yout TT. Now it's up to you to put it back on. I suggest you use Me-Quire's cleaner wax. It will clean the paint, and bring it back, unless you killed it. I killed some paint on myprev TT with "Awsome" Even Cleaner wax wouldn't take all the streaks out. But did take out most of them, and fade the rest.
