I can't believe I've had my "new" EC double-slide for all of six months, now I'm considering the newest triple-slide from Host, the "Mammoth". Can get it with a fireplace, king size bed, and a big slide-out storage tray.I talked at length yesterday with the one of the co-owners at Host. He sent me a ton of pictures, and a price sheet. Optioned out the way I want, would be between $50-$54k, the variable being the genny for $4k. I don't need a genny, I run a ton of batteries and a big inverter. My last AF had both - genny and inverter, I sold it with 4 hours on the genny.Anyway, he said "Lance and AF are great, well built TC's, but more like Bayliners - mass produced, good products, great for the masses. Host is for people who have already had one or more TC's and want to step up". The only real downside is the toliet - it's too high, and there is no real step area to put your feet. Not much they can about that however.I did not order the generator (gulp, $4500 for that POS?), esp. since we mostly just do overnight weekend camping; I put two batteries in the generator compartment along with a Outback GFX1312 gridtie/boosting inverter/charger, and walla, we have enough power for a weekend, along with a 200 amp lift gate connector and 4 gauge wire (parts are 2 gauge)The only major disappoint to me was when the fresh water tank seelevel sensor stopped working, to find that a block of foam used to hold the tank in place had bubbled the sensor away the tank. It was quickly fixed once I found that, but it's a very tight spot to get in there.I also weighed it, and it's almost spot on for the weight tag.And yes, I carry it on a SRW Ford Superduty, with the HD suspension, but not camper rated.

Looked at one closely at the recent Hershey RV show. It had some very nice features and extremely roomy. Things I saw that I feel needed some attention by the manufacturer: the cabinet to the right side of the TV/fireplace (resembles a pantry with shelves) had very flimsy shelves, almost like 1/8" luan board. They were sagging already and did not fit well. Some of the molding along the flooring was loose. The piece directly under the toilet was pulled loose and looked like it was hardly nailed/stapled. The sliding bathroom door had some issues with the top mounting hardware and the door track (maybe this was caused by someone abusing it at the show), or maybe the door needs to be beefed up with better mounting hardware.

I had no idea they were doing multiple slides in TC. That is really nice! They don't come cheap though!

Nice looking camper! That thing would barely fit on my dually (weight wise) so I hope that works for you. Your camper weighs 4250 lbs according to your weight scale tickets, that must be your dry weight, wet would be well over 5000 lbs plus all your gear. Ouch.

I think I became seasick watching the video. :)

Thats nuthin....Especially for a triple slide. My AF1150 loaded was 5280. And if you want a real choker---My EC is 7550.

Boaty, it's a heavy camper for a SRW. I do have 19.5's, airbags, sway bars, and HD shocks - still get some sway. Going to add stableload's soon.

I found it carries best when it has a 3/4 or better tank of water in it. That's because the water tank is at the very front of the basement, and places weight back on the front suspension. I really need to weigh it with a full tank of water and diesel, to see how the weight is placed on the axles (it's not all on the rear axle).

As for build quality, it's had a few issues (mostly factory mistakes), but Host has been good about fixing everything but one thing (the Seelevel gauges fresh water tank sensor was peeled off by a touching foam block, which was a special install for us; I had to remove a cover to reach the sensor.) For a the first set of problems I was paid to return the camper to the factory, and they fixed a large punch list of details at the same time for us, and then another issue they actually came down the dealer to fix (or would of came over the house if it wasn't at the dealer at the time)

The bathroom size is great to have, we've had 6 to 8 people in the camper at once and still not feel cramped.

We had special installed SeeLevel gauges (uhm, 66 gals of water, I really really didn't want 1/3 2/3 full crap), a Progressive full camper surge protector, and a fantastic fan in the bathroom.

In retrospect, I'd not order any TV with it, or the mounts; I can easily do better cheaper (monoprice.com for mounts/cables, local stores for the TV), but I would have the TV antenna installed at the factory.

We like the fireplace. Yes, we have a fireplace in our Truck Camper.

Oh, sorry about the video shaking.. It was taken on a cellphone.

We got the Cherry interior with the Jute fabric, I did not think the chocolate fabric looked right with the cherry. The maple interior cabinet doors for some reason does not match the paneling for some reason.

The fridge has a fan in it to make it work, and I can hear it at times. Not sure if it's just supposed to be that loud (ie, a cheap fan) or if it is really a problem.
