New Host Mammoth on order

I've been lurking here for probably over 10 years and gained a lot of knowledge. In 2007 I couldn't convince the wife a TC was big enough so we bought a fifth wheel. Finally she's come around to see it my way. Just ordered a Host Mammoth. I just registered so I can contribute back to the community. In
  • We ordered, and it took almost 6 months.. oh, wait, ours was one of the first ones off the line.

    Everyone loves it.
  • Did you order? If so how long was your delivery? I'm being told about 2.5 - 3 months.

Luck or fate. Had a 5th wheel and heading to Eugene for daughters graduation. Toured Host in Bend and ours was an order that was not able to be delivered. Lots of options and priced right. Put a deposit down and picked it up 2 months later. Sorry if formating is walked. Doing this from my phone.
  • Congratulations and welcome. Everyone here is very helpful. Good call on the brake upgrade. We just bought our truck and the first thing I did was a brake job. Unfortunately I stayed with stock brakes. I just got back from our first trip with our Mammoth and realized I need a brake upgrade before our trip to Oregon/Washington in September.

My wife wanted a motorhome until she saw the Mammoth. She is now a happy camper. I'm sure your wife will be just as happy.
  • I put SSBC on front with power slot rotors
and hawk pads all the way around on my F250
    helped ALOT :)

Wow, for a TC Newbie, you didn't screw around.... I'm curious what kinda truck you have to put under that thing.

    F-150?

    :)

The wife said the only way I was getting here out of the 5w was to buy the biggest TC available so here we go. It took us 8 hours to unload all the stuff she had squirreled away in the 5w, so it's going to be a interesting day when we start to load the TC.

2005 F350 DRW 4x4. Added stable loads upper and lower, Firestone airbags, bilstein shocks and steering dampener. Waiting on new brake kits from SSBC to come in (calipers, pads, and rotors).
