- gboppExplorerLooks good. :C
Did you have to make and modifications or alterations to the new cabinet to make it fit? - azrvingExplorerNice job. Now turn around and replace that cheesy twin handle kitchen faucet. We are surrounded by cheap cheesy stuff. :)
- stevemorrisExplorerI built the cabinet from new lumber(I'm a cabinet maker)
cabinet box is 3/8 ply g1s and the door and face frame is red oak built with cope and stick joinery just like the rest of cabinet doors in the trailer. mirror is from the plastic **** cabinet
ive made other doors for our previous trailer, it had vinyl wrap mdf doors and I opened up some new unused spaces for storage inside
you can buy doors in standard kitchen cabinet sizes from home depot and lowes usually in increments of three inches wide and either 24 high or 30 high. but adding a mirror can be an issue unless you have some carpentry skills and tools
next is an "entertainment centre", ie tv and dvd stuff, there's a rather large totally useless space above the fridge in our trailer
yea faucets are ****, even a cheap moen would be an improvement. our trailer is pex piping so i'll need a couple of plumbing tools - pira114Explorer IIMust be frustrating to be a cabinet maker and seeing how cheaply stuff is made in an RV. I used to be a tile setter years ago and I still notice every little flaw when looking at someone's tile job. Or worse, looking at new construction. I imagine most professions are like that. Hard to turn off the critical eye.
Good job on the cabinet. Wish I had those skills - colliehaulerExplorer IIIYou did a nice job. I replaced my mini sink, unusable small dresser, and medicine cabinet with better built more functional cabinets.
