I also went from a Toy Hauler to a TC. My Alpenlite when loaded with everything tips the scales around 4000 lbs
A couple of things you are going to want to check out:
Bilstein 4600 shocks
Torklift Stableloads
Torklift Superhitch
and Torklift Tiedowns
If you are going to tow anything, before you buy your tiedowns, select your hitch first. Found out that I had to switch the rear Torklift tiedowns to a different model when I upgraded to the Superhitch
I did not put the Bilsteins and the Stableloads on until after I got the TC. They were very good upgrades. Wish I had done them sooner.
Also, if you are going to tow a trailer, make sure you watch your tongue weight. Especially if you have an extention. There are calculators out there that will help you estimate the weight you will be putting on your rear axle.
I think you will be very happy with a TC!!!
