My opinion is, cover it when not in use for an extended period. It protects the from the sun and weather.
No, they're not covered by the dealer, they're on display to be sold.
Cars and pickups are not garaged while on the dealers lot. But, many people keep them in a garage after they buy them. JMO. :)
