What you state makes sense until you want to run the microwave. There is not enough space in a truck camper to put in all the storage batteries and inverter to power a micro. I have both the Honda 2000 and solar power. I only use the Honda for 5-15 minutes to power the micro to heat my supper.

You can easily run a microwave with two batteries and an inverter. You are going to want two batteries anyway. Inverter and solar panels will cost less than the Honda by a pretty good margin and will be much quieter than the Honda - and take less storage space.
