If the rig has been together since 1997, with that many miles on it, it's fine. Were it egregiously overweight, it would have collapsed on a pile long ago.
Give it a good once-over, put some new tires on it if they're more than 5 years old, make sure the brakes feel good, and hit the road.
With a camper that old, if it's in good shape and everything works, it doesn't matter who made it or what "problems" the brand may or may not have had. It's stood the test of time, so how bad could it possibly be? You're not going to get any warranty work done that's for sure, and it's not going to fall apart on you just because you bought it. Take care of it and you will get many more good years of camping out of it.
