New Ram 3500

Well I pulled the trigger today on a new Ram 3500 4x4 Limited. Pretty much like the one in my signature except has 29010 tow rating and 5680 cargo capacity, 9 speed tranny with 4.10s. Quite a bit more than my 2012. Unfortunately had to order it as they couldn't find me one with the 4.10s so have to wait about 6 weeks or so till it gets built. Though now I have to buy a new fifth wheel hitch to fit the layout in the Ram bed, my Reese Elite won't fit so guess I'll be selling it.

  • I really wish I could afford to upgrade tow vehicles every 3 years too...

    No, he has 6-forward & 3-reverse !!!! :S

4x4 will have 12 forward speeds 2 reverse.

You know what? You are absolutely right! I never thought about that!

6 forward regular gears, then 4 down, then low down. Reverse has it's normal and a low reverse. Sheesh! I just got an education! Duh! Why didn't I think of that!

  • Congrats.... I love my 2012. I am waiting to see if any big news comes out for the 2016 before I start to look again. I tow my 19K lb. fiver pretty well so I guess I can wait...Post pics when you get it.

  • You can probably get a picture frame adapter for your current hitch or possibly new legs to fit the pucks. Much less expensive than a new hitch.
  • The OP is either (a) excited!

Or (b) RV.net was having issues just a little bit ago. Maybe he posted but did not get any response back from RV.net so tried again. It did whack-out just few minutes ago!
