I've turned wrenches all my life. I've owned countless trucks and campers.
I've built cars and trucks from the frame up. I know what sway bars do, I know what shocks do, I couldn't care less what brochures say about weight ratings.
He wanted a 3500 dually, but for reasons that aren't important here, that wasn't possible and this is the truck that has to carry that camper (among other things).
The question here is whether anyone has gotten good results using one of these coil spring pieces of junk with a camper by adding sway bars, shocks, bags or whatever.
If they still handle horribly we can and will remove the coil spring suspension and put leafs in. I call it junk because it's ridiculous how extremely badly it handles. My old F150 was better with a similar camper, this new Dodge literally can't manage over 35 MPH without trying to flip.
Most Chevy 3/4 ton pickups from '60 to '72 had coil spring rear ends if they were two wheel drive and they worked great.
