The 2020 GM HD trucks will be here in a few months. They are supposed to have a revamped engine and a new transmission. Even though it was co-developed with Ford I think that is going to be billed as an Allison.
Shortly after that we will probably see Ford step it up some too, starting with the half ton models.
There are pictures of the 2020 HD Chev and there is a plaque which says “Duramax/Allison” on the hood.
