OK Cummins12V98, what's you going to do? We will have to go to pizza again if you get one of these!
But it now has a cp4 pump and it doesn't have this manically emissions system that the Cummings woman was blowing kisses in his ear that we've been hearing about for the last year on this forum
Hmm, I haven't read the 2019 6.7L will have a CP4. I knew removing the EGR wasn't going to happen in the US though. For Global markets yes, but not for our strict NOx requirements. - ShinerBockExplorer

The 8-speed should be a better fit for the 6.4 gas. Gear spacing, should be a non-issue, even with 3.73 ratio.

The biggest downfall, in my mind, was that transmission in the 6.4. Plenty of power in the 6.4, but when towing up hills it would try to hold 4th too long and then eventually slam into 2nd and make the engine scream. Wouldn't even try to use 3rd. I hope this transmission fixes those kinds of issues.
It does make the gas version of the truck a lot more compelling.
Definitely make the Power Wagon more appealing. The 66RFE never should have been mated to a gas engine with its gearing. But then again, Ram has a history of making bad transmission choices in the HDs until now. Me Again wrote:

- Me_AgainExplorer IIIAbout time "all 3500's SRW and DRW" get the Aisin tranny. And manual tranny is gone!
New: Twice the learning capability on the Aisin tranny. Surprise, everyone has said the current Aisin has no learning ability? Twice zero is still zero! - Me_AgainExplorer IIIOK Cummins12V98, what's you going to do? We will have to go to pizza again if you get one of these!
- rhagfoExplorer IIINice Truck, will be interesting to see pricing. I was looking at the frame on my 2016 while crawling around under the bed attaching my tool box. That rear cross member looks very beefy!!
