If its the same as the 3rd gen Rams, you have to lift the bed slightly to get it off.
The Reese Titan bolts on under the stock hitch.
When I had my 11' Lance I used a solid 2"x2" bar in the stock hitch and used U bolts to attach it to the Reese, creating the super hitch design. It wasn't as strong as the Super hitch but it helped.
