I think I have decided on the B&W RVK3270 manual slider and the Reese picture frame. I will rig the V-Box attached to slider with Nylon slides on the bottom of the box so it will slide out onto the tail gate. And then hope I can cobble the large Truck Trunk in ahead of the hitch. Chris
Just to be sure I am understanding this; you are thinking of rigging the rear box to slide out over the tailgate to allow the sliding hitch to slide to the rear "maneuvering position"? If so, will you be able to back your trailer in with the tailgate down and the box moved over it? I'm pretty sure my tailgate would go through the front of the trailer if it was down while I was in a sharp enough turn to need the hitch slid back.
If I'm missing your thought please let me know; we are here to help you with this one :B
Yes and No, I can have the tailgate down now and still have a lot of room to the trailer. Even turning would not run it into the front of the trailer. And my long box has more over hang behind the axle than a new short box truck.
The B&W guy did warn me about going to the rear position with the tailgate up, saying the pin box might hit the tailgate.
