Just got it yesterday....sold my Jeep & bought a muscle truck. 1995 Dakota, regular cab, shortbed, 2WD...with V8 power. :) Solid frame & body, just needs front brakes.

Since when is a Dakota a "Muscle Truck".....really?
They also stuck a 5.9 in the Dakota around '99.
I could be wrong but it may have been badged as the "R/T"
You could get any Dak with a 360 in, IIRC, 2000, but yes, the one sold as a muscle truck from 1999 was the R/T. Unfortunately, by 1999, the Dakota had packed on most of 700lbs of pork and lost its free-flow exhaust manifolds. end result: a 1996 5.2 is quicker than a 1999 R/T.
